- CeBIT 2006 will be held in Hanover, Germany, March 9-15.
- On show will be a 3G phone, a super slim phone featuring a 4 mega-pixel camera with MPEG4 capability, an EDGE phone, and an EV-DO phone.
- VK will display its technological prowess based on successful vertical integration, ranging from core chips and batteries through mobile computing technology.
VK will participate in CeBIT 2006, the world's largest ICT trade fair, in Hanover, Germany from March 9th to the 15th.
VK Mobile?s 8.8 mm super slim mobile phone is receiving excellent reviews in both Korea and around the world.
To further enhance our growing status VK will exhibit a total of 17 models, among them four models integrating camera and MP3 functions in the 8.8 mm super slim VK 2000, a winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award from Germany in 2006; a ?2.75 generation? EDGE (Enhanced Data rate for FSM Evolution) phone whose transfer rate is three times faster than GPRS phones; an EV-DO (Evolution Data Only) phone adopting the high-speed CDMA wireless data transfer standard (3G); and a 3G phone.
In addition to base-band chips for GSM/GPRS mobile handsets produced by VMTS, French R&D?s subsidiary, VK will show how it?s complete product family is achieved through vertical integration. Including such things as mobile computing technology enabling mobile phone users to access networks and carry on business.
The VK booth will sit alongside Nokia and Motorola at the exhibition. VK is clearly demonstrating its ability to compete with world-class mobile phone manufacturers. Furthermore, the VK 2000 with the 2006 Red Dot Design Award, will gain attention from visitors.
VK?s exhibit will comprise five sectors, centering on the concept ?Dynamic VK? suggesting the rapid growth of VK in the world market: first, the ?slim zone? showing a slim design and convergence, world trends in the mobile phone market; second, the ?music zone?; third, the "stylish zone?; fourth, the "innovative zone" demonstrating VK?s technological prowess now well-recognized in the world market; and finally, the ?global zone.?
