Sony has just announced an entry level camera phone, the Sony Ericsson K200, which is designed for the lower-end of the cell phone spectrum. The K200 features a simple candy-bar style design, and a VGA camera, which is the focal point of this phone.
The K200 touts the easy of use of its camera and accompanying photo album, which is a nice change from overly an overly complex photo system found on many phones. The camera and albums are accessible with just a quick touch of a button - no scrolling through all sorts of menus required. This is a great feature for one of those unexpected "I just have to take a photo of this!" moments. The Sony Ericsson K200 mobile phone can store up to 40 images, and features a slideshow view.
The phone navigation is also as simple as can be, allowing users to set-up their favorite program icons on the phone's main screen and one-click access to important features like the phone book.
The Sony K200 mobile phone will be available to consumers in Q2 2007 in selected markets. No word on which markets will be getting this, but keep your eyes peeled. It will be available in two colors - Metallic Black and Light Champagne.
