Siemens SL55 is a tri-band mobile phone, that slides open to reveal its keyboard when you need to use it, or slides closed to keep it small while you carry it around. The phone can be used worldwide and has a range of useful features, including voice control, a loudspeaker for hands-free use, voice memo recording, and polyphonic ringtones as standard.
The Siemens SL55 also supports MMS multimedia messaging, and the pictures you send and receive between your contacts are displayed on the phone?s 4096-colour display. The phone does not come equipped with a built-in camera, although a QuickPic digital camera with integral flashgun is available as an optional accessory, and this plugs into the phone.
Being Java? enabled, the Siemens SL55 allows you to use and download a range of business, travel and entertainment applications, in addition to all the latest games. It is also possible to download the usual content to personalise your phone - such as screensavers, wallpapers, animations, and logos - and these can be sent over the Internet via WAP; alternatively these files may be attached to text or multimedia messages.
The Siemens SL55 phone features GPRS and WAP technology to provide you with mobile Internet access to browse the Web, and to send and receive e-mails via the standard POP3/SMTP protocols. This phone offers useful facilities for those who need a tool that complements business and personal information management requirements, because it automatically synchronises your data wirelessly or by cable with PCs and PDAs.
