Siemens M55 is a tri-band candy bar style mobile phone, which comes with a range of sought after features, including MMS multimedia capability, voice control, hands-free speakerphone, voice memo recorder, and polyphonic ringtones.
The display has a resolution of 101 x 80 pixels and supports 4096 colours for viewing pictures, playing games, and for choosing options from the menus. One unique feature is the dynamic light signals, that flash on both sides of the phone, and which alert the user to different phone functions according to the pattern of their flashing.
The Siemens M55 is Java? enabled, and so it is possible to download more games and applications over the Internet, or from elsewhere. To enable you to compose your own melodies the M55 includes ?Cubasis? Mobile Synthesizer, a cut-down version of Steinberg?s Cubase music software application.
With its GPRS and WAP capability this phone is able to access the mobile Internet, and can send and receive e-mails using POP3 and SMTP protocols.
The Siemens M55 does not come with a built-in camera, but the IQP-500 Quick Pic camera with integral flashgun is available as an optional extra, which plugs into the phone when needed.
