Siemens C62 is a tri-band mobile phone and one of the smallest candy bar styled handsets available. This is another Siemens model at the budget end of the market, and among the phone?s features are its support for MMS, GPRS and WAP technology, speakerphone for hands free conversations, voice memo recorder, and polyphonic ringtones.
The display is a passive matrix LCD colour screen, which supports up to 4096 colours with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. As the C62 is MMS enabled you can send pictures, voice messages and ringtones, as well as text with your MMS multimedia messages, except that with no onboard camera you will have to obtain the pictures elsewhere. However, there is an optional clip on QuickPic camera with flashgun available to turn the C62 into a cameraphone, although this inevitably involves extra cost.
The Siemens C62 comes with 2 built-in games, but without Java? support it is not possible to download any Java games. Nevertheless, the GPRS and WAP browser means that you can quickly and easily download logos, ringtones and pictures from suitable Internet sites, and photos can be linked with known callers to provide caller picture ID. However, the amount of downloads is limited by the phone?s rather small 1.6 MB of internal memory.
The Siemens C62 may also be linked by data cable to a PC, and files can then be transferred to and from the phone, enabling you to use pictures, sounds and ringtones that you have stored on your PC.
