Siemens A60 is a tri-band mobile phone suitable for worldwide roaming. The handset has a candy bar form and it is an entry-level phone, although it can still offer several features that you would expect to find at a higher price, such as GPRS technology, a hands-free loudspeaker, EMS messaging, and Internet access. The appearance of the phone is also easily changed by swapping the replaceable CLIPitTM covers supplied by Siemens.
The Siemens A60 has a 101 x 80 pixels LCD screen, which supports up to 4096 colours, and this display is able to reproduce the phone?s graphics, messages and menus in up to 7 lines of text.
The A60 is also capable of making a pleasant sound, as it can play 16-voice polyphonic ringtones, and more sounds may be downloaded from sites that supply such ringtones. In addition to customising the ringtones, you can also download new pictures, animations, screensavers, etc, and suitable downloadable files are available from the Siemens own website at www.my-siemens.com.
Being GPRS and WAP enabled, the A60 is capable of providing faster access to the mobile Internet, and users can then take advantage of the services available on the Web.
