Sendo M570 is a dual band mobile phone with a clamshell body form. The phone comes in a striking red and silver finish, and is also very small and lightweight, which makes it easy for carrying around in a pocket or handbag. This model is aimed at those who need a basic phone, but with the addition of a few important features. The main features included in this phone are GPRS and WAP technology, MMS multimedia messaging, Java? capability, active flip, and a selection of polyphonic ringtones.
As is now common in clamshell phones, there are dual displays in this model. The inner display is a CSTN type of passive matrix LCD, which has the UFB (ultra fine and bright) technology, and this screen has a resolution of 128 x128 pixels with the capability to reproduce up to 65,536 different colours. The external display shows details such as the time and date, and also displays the phone?s battery and signal status, caller ID, and icons for missed calls and new messages.
With its MMS capability, the M570 is able to send and receive multimedia messages that contain a combination of text, graphics, pictures, logos, sounds and melodies. However, the user should bear in mind that you can only exchange MMS messages with other MMS enabled phones. There is a reasonable memory capacity of 3.7 MB available in the phone, and this should be sufficient to store up to 400 pictures.
It is possible to personalise the M570 by using different themes, wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones, to give the phone your own unique look and sound. A good selection of images, sounds and ringtones comes preloaded in the phone for such customisation, and this should provide you with a good choice to start with, although more content can be downloaded over-the-air when you wish to use something new. There is also the facility to set unique ringtones for particular callers, and to use picture ID so that an image of your contact is displayed on the screen when they call you.
As the M570 is Java? enabled, you can run a wide range of Java applications and games on this phone. There are 5 games supplied with the phone: Funny Farmer, Solitaire, Sumito, Ten Pin, and Splat 2. More games, and applications, may be downloaded over-the-air when you want to try out some new programs.
The M570 has integrated GPRS technology to give you faster data transfer and an ?always on? connection, where you pay for the amount of data you actually transfer rather than the length of time that you are connected to the network. As this phone has a WAP browser, this means that you can use the phone to access the mobile Internet while you are on the move, and so take advantage of the many WAP sites for online information and services, such as news bulletins, sports reports, weather forecasts, traffic news, shopping, entertainment, business, etc.
Applications supplied with the phone include a clock, alarm, calculator, and a converter for currencies and other physical quantities. The online currency converter gives you the opportunity to download the latest ?live rates?, for quick and accurate conversions. Other usual features include T9? predictive text input and a vibration alert when you need to switch off the ringer.
