Philips 535 is a dual band candy bar shaped camphone. This phone comes with a range of useful features on what is a low-priced model, and they include GPRS and WAP capability, MMS enabled, voice memo recorder, speakerphone for hands-free conversations, voice control with 15 voice commands, Java? enabled, and Internet e-mail capability.
A good-sized display screen is provided, with 128 x 128 pixels resolution and support for up to 65,536 colours. An integrated digital camera with 4x zoom gives you the opportunity of taking pictures to add to your MMS multimedia messages. This phone also includes a Philips Fototalk feature, that lets you add a voice message to a photo, and to save pictures for entries in your phonebook to create a caller ID.
One feature of the 535 that will appeal to the musically minded is the phone?s onboard BeDJ music composer, which lets you create your own multitrack recordings using a range of instruments. Music tracks composed with the BeDJ composer can then be used as your own ringtones, or you can send them as part of an MMS message to another MMS compatible phone.
The Philips 535?s support for Java? programs is another useful feature, which means you are able to run Java games and applications, and more of these may be downloaded when you wish to use new programs.
The e-mail over Internet capability will be a bonus for some users, as you are able to utilise the standard POP3 and SMTP protocols to send and receive e-mails, including their attachments.
With the Philips 535 you have the ability to connect wirelessly, via an infrared link with other compatible devices such as a PDA or a PC, and to then exchange files or to synchronise your personal data.
