A little birdie tells us that the Nokia 6288 phone got the approval from the almighty FCC, amidst all the new announcements at the CES 2007. Was this phone also intended for the CES, but just missed it because of the pending approval? We don't know for sure.
Anyway, we had covered the 6288 a few months ago. While it was targeted for a Q3 2006 release, it looks like the phone will finally land up in the markets after a short delay.
Equipped with a 512MB card and QVGA display offering 262k colors, the Nokia 6288 boasts of a 2-megapixel camera as well as a VGA camera for two-way video conferencing.
