The Motorola V360 is the successor to the popular V300 series from Motorola. This GSM packed flip phone trims the design, it looks more like the V635 now, but adds to the feature set of the V330. T-Mobile USA currently offers this phone, Rogers Wireless is sure to follow in Canada. Specficially, the V360 is slightly smaller and lighter than the V330, plus it features a memory card slot for storing and playing music via an included music player application. They did away with the antenna on the V360, as there is an internal antenna on this model. Like the V330, this model also has Bluetooth, tri-band GSM compatibility, high-speed EDGE data, and a VGA camera with video capture.

The V360 features a high-resolution 176 x 220 pixel, 262,000-color screen. The outside cover of the has a 96 x 80 monochrome display that can display time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. Up and down buttons for volume control are placed on the left side. Most of the phone's features and onscreen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's control pad. A USB-capable data port is housed on the unit's right side, and there's a standard jack to accept universal hands-free headsets (as well as a stereo headset for music listening). A microSD/TransFlash memory card slot is provided for data and music storage, it comes with 56 MB to start, another 70 bucks for more memory.

Other phone features include: speed dialing, call preprogrammed numbers with one button; a vibrating alert; speakerphone; voice-activated dialing; the phone book can hold up to 1,000 contacts; and of course Bluetooth connectivity. The V360 features support for IM and there's also a built-in Web browser for t-zones downloads and mobile Web browsing. T-Mobile's t-zones service lets you receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more. It also supports EDGE data speeds.

The V360 comes with a built-in e-mail client (with support for POP3, SMTP and IMAP4 e-mail standards) and traditional text messaging, and video, picture, and sound messaging are also supported. iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile e-mail and text messaging users.

Other software tools include voice memo recorder, a calculator, a calendar, and an alarm clock. You can also use the phone's Bluetooth capability to set up a wireless link with a Bluetooth accessory or to connect to a computer or hand-held device to exchange and synchronize data. The phone supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard, which can be used with Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools PC application to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar, and other data with your PC.

A 5 MB of internal memory storage and a memory expansion slot, VGA (640 x 480) camera features a 4x digital zoom, image quality options, and an auto-timer so you can be in your pictures, too. Capture stills and then send them to your friends via MMS messaging or e-mail or to your PC via USB or Bluetooth. The V360 adds video capability, too, meaning you can capture short video clips and, just like photos, share them how you see fit.

Motorola V360 sports a built-in MP3 music player, but again, factory memory card is small.

The Motorola V360 weighs 3.9 ounces and measures 3.5 by 1.85 by .94 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 7.5 hours of digital talk time and up to 240 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies. The phone comes with a one-year limited warranty.

Pros:
-Lightweight and compact, the V360 feels solid in hand.
-Internal antenna provides good all-around coverage for a clamshell.
-High end features at mid-level price: Bluetooth, Mp3 player, removable memory card, color screen.
-VGA camera with video capture, better camera to an already good camera (from v330).
-Charges from either wall charger or USB cable.

Cons:
-56mb card is only about 15 songs worth, not counting pictures or videos. 256mb+ card would really be needed, which would be a $50-$70 extra cost. Does not play Apple coded music.
-No stereo headphones included. (handsfree does play Mp3 though)
-Not quad band. Only domestic tri-band (850, 1800,1900mhz)
-Speakerphone/MP3 player hard to hear in louder areas
-Customization takes time.
