Alcatel One Touch 535 is an easy to use dual band mobile phone, which comes in a candy bar format with a stylish metallic finish. Features available in this model include GPRS and WAP technology, MMS multimedia messaging, digital sound recorder, speakerphone for hands-free conversations, voice control, and an 800 entry internal phonebook.
The display in the Alcatel One Touch 535 is a large, passive matrix cSTN type of LCD colour screen, with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and the capability to reproduce up to 4,096 different colours. Although there is no integrated camera in this phone, it does have several embedded photos, pictures and animations, which come in useful for MMS messaging, and you can download more when you need them. As this phone is MMS enabled it is possible to create, send and receive MMS messages containing a combination of pictures, sounds and text, and this will give your messages extra impact when they are received.
For those who like to personalise their phones, it is also possible to customise the appearance of the display using downloadable screensavers and wallpapers, and the sound of the phone can be updated by downloading new polyphonic ringtones. An internal melody composer is also included, which can be used to create and save your own unique ringtones. There are 2 games supplied in the phone: one is embedded and cannot be changed, but the other is erasable and can be changed for a new game when you want to try something different.
Another important feature of the One Touch 535 is that it has integrated GPRS and WAP technology. The GPRS data transfer capability means that you are provided with fast access to network services, an ?always on? connection, and you only pay for the data you actually use rather than the time you are connected to the network. The WAP browser gives you access to the mobile Internet, where you can search for the information and services that are now available to the mobile phone user. WAP services include useful content, such as news updates, sports results, travel details, weather reports, news about the world of entertainment, as well as all the business and stock market details.
The Alcatel One Touch 535 comes equipped with good connectivity via its wireless infrared port, or alternatively you can make a wired link up using a USB cable connector. The phone supports synchronisation with the software applications Lotus Notes?, Lotus Organiser?, Microsoft Outlook? and Microsoft Outlook Express?. As with most models, there are the usual organiser functions included in the package, and here you have a scheduler, To Do list, calculator, currency converter, and world clock. In addition, the phone also supports Vcard and Vcalendar exchange.
